Just wondering, how are people commuting from the airport to the school of medicine? Are there any buses/shuttles that anyone can recommend? Thanks

If you flew into JFK, take the air train to Jamaica Station and then take LIRR from Jamaica to Stony Brook. This brings you to the undergraduate campus and you can walk across to the medical school. The commute times can be somewhat limiting. I know some people ended up renting a car, but as long as you plan in advance you can commute.

This is going to be your best bet unless you are willing to shell out a lot of money for a car rental or Uber/cab.

To add on to this, however, once you're at the Stony Brook station there is a school-sponsored free shuttle that will save you 15-20 minutes of walking.

Shoot, I can't recall what the earliest one was but I believe it was the first week of December with multiple slots available each week for that month.

Does everyone from a certain interview day get updated at the same time? Regardless of A, WL or R

Any IS still waiting to hear back 7 weeks post interview 🙁

Anyone who interviewed here remember/know when we're expected to get our financial aid packages?

I know it's early, but some schools send it in Dec, while others send it in late April (!)

Does anyone know how easy it is to declare in state residency after a year??

You can't declare in state residency if the primary reason for your move to the state is medical school. You'd be OOS all 4 years.

Can anyone give me an idea of the interview schedule? I just need to know when to expect the day to be finished!
